Abstract

Today, protecting computer from attacker is very easy because computer security programs are easy to use and inexpensive. Security starts with physically securing the computer. Account passwords and a password-protected screen saver should also be set up. A modern antivirus program can easily be installed and configured. File scanning and updating of virus definitions are simple processes that can largely automated and should be performed at least weekly. A software firewall is also essential for protection from outside intrusion. Regular updating of the security features of installed programs is important. 

Journal 16

The life scence in the film Baraka is a part that I choose. This scence shows the way of people who live in a big city that the have to do everything in rush time. It compares city life with chicken life. People have to live in a small room, walk in to a subway, and fallow the rule same as chickens that cannot choose the way to go, have to get a barcode, and live in a small cage. This movie send a direct message to us that human and animal have the same life style. Then the movie move to another part of the world that people have a totally life style. In this part, people in this scence have on house or no money. They have to sleep on the street. Also, they have to find things from garbage because they don't have money to buy a new thing or they have no change to get a job. The reaction I feel from looking at this scence is making me feel good that I have a better life than them.

Journal 14

I want to quiz school and go back home.
It is true that you had spent a lot of money for my trip. However, we must consider the cost of  studying Master degree and  living here, which are much higher for the past that you invest it for me, staying in the US is not a good investment. Additionally, going back Thailand and getting a job are better things than study in the US. As you know, I'm getting older every year but I still have nothing. It would be better if I go back to work and save money for my future.

Warning of tornadoes from the emergency service of the southeast part of Wichita told the Midwest prepare for the tornadoes. This warning was the biggest warning in history because the emergency service  had warned that the city will got attack from tornadoes more than 24 hours. Because of a very good preparation, the state was destroyed but no one was injured. National Weather Service said that they have to prepare for the worst case that storm will hit at night time. If storm hit at night time, it would be a very bad time. Because it is very hard to help people who are sleeping and have no attention to weather reports or cannot hear sirens. Because of this reason, they had an order to move people to stay at Air Force Base.

This book talks about the way that hackers usually use to attack to networks. This book is related to my research question because it explains how computer security can protect the network form these attacker. Also, it talks about the way that hackers hack the network, so it means computer security needs to update all the time. This book helps me to learn another idea that computer security can not protect system 100%.

According from this article, the writer noticed that today big companies want to hide new generation people to work in a computer security filed. He said hackers changed their styles to hack from defaced a website to breezed past the security systems of the biggest companies to steal important informations. So, the company in the west of England set the activity that called the UK Cyber Security Challenge to find a young new blood. People who join this challenge have to secure the firm's website and network that will attacked by the hackers.

Advice

Deciding to do something can be a hard situation. I had a very hard situation when I decided to change my major from Finance to Computer Science. It took me almost 3 months for this situation. When I had talked to my mom about changing my major before she gave me an advice. Her advice is "do whatever you want, your life have to decide by your own." I think this is the best advice when I need to decide something about myself. When I decide to do something, it dosen't have effect to other people. It will have an effect on me only.

American food

When people ask me to get American food, I always think about hamburger. As I know, American food is not only hamburger. There have many kinds of American foods. One of the funny thing when people ask me which one is an traditional American food, I can answer them quickly that the biggest dish is an American food. Hamburger is not my favorite American dish. My favorite American dish is steak. I love to eat American steak because they always give me a big meat. However, I can't eat American food everyday because it has a different flavor Than my traditional dish. My traditional dish has spicy, sour, sweet, and salty flavor in one dish. I think American food doesn't have these flavors.

Birds of a Feather

I have one of my best friends that almost the same as me. We usually help else other when we have a problem. There are three thing that me and my friend have same personality. First of all, we love to play soccer. If we want to win in soccer match, we need to have the best teamwork. My friend and I played in the same position, so we have support each other when we played. Next, we have the same favorite restaurant, so we always have lunch together. Also, we can share ore food because we have the same favorite food, so we can buy everything that we want and share. Finally, we have the same personality that we can go anywhere. We can go everywhere, so this personality make us meet each other very often.  As you can see, my friend and I become best friend because we have the same personality that easy to understand, easy to eat, and easy to go everywhere.

Dr.Dolittle

If animal could talk, I were crazy. I think the world will get a big problem because human and animal with have to discuss many things. I think animal will ask human "Why human have to eat meats?" because human can eat vegetables or tigers and lions will ask human that they can eat human meat or not. Also, if animal wants to save an environment, but human wants to make a new technology that use a lot of sources, so I think it is going to have a world war between human and animal because both of them cannot live together. If I have a change to ask animal, I will ask them "How do they live without technology?". I think it is very to live without technology, so I want to know the way of living without technology.  

Life's Soundtrack

Rocketeer, the song that was sang by Far East Movement, is my favorite song. I heard this song when I emigrated to USA for my degree. I had gone to many counties before I came to USA. Also, this is my first time in the US and I have to come here alone. I had a lot of fears in that time. For example, my English grammar is terrible, and I afraid to live alone in the country that I have never come before. When I listened to this song, it makes me brave. I feel fearlessly for traveling alone. I don't have to worry about things in the future. I just focus on my goal and make it become true.

Weather

Winter, the season that has cold weather, is my favorite season that I would like to have all year. I like this season because I really love jacket. I have many jackets in my closet so I can wear my jackets in this season. I don't have to worry that it is going to super hot if I wear a leather jacket. Also, winter is a perfect time for party. My friends and I usually have a meeting party in winter. It is sound funny that I like cold weather because I came from Thailand, the country that has winter only one month. Hot and humid are normal weather in Thailand. It means this country always have rain and very hot. However, this country lucky enough for getting cold weather. The longest cold weather that I have ever had when I live in Thailand is one month. Normally, Thai people have winter only 1 week, so cold weather is a rare item for me.

Old Fears

When I was young, I used to afraid of dark. I afraid to go outside in the night time, so I used to stay at home and opened all of the lights in my house. Also, when I went to bed, I used to open the lights all night. I could not sleep if I turned off the light. I felt uncomfortable when I slept with out light. However, I have to get over of my fear when I went to sleep over with my friend because we had to finish my project in that night. My friend is totally different from me. He can't go to sleep if the light is still open. At that time, it was a terrible time for me. I can't go to sleep because it was very dark in that room, so I played computer until morning. After that night, I overcome fear. Today, I changed to another person. I have to turn the light off before I go to sleep. If I don't turn it off, I can't go to sleep.

New year Resolution

Getting six packs is my target in this year. I would like to do that because last year I ate too much. This is my first time that I come here, and steak is my favorite food, so I spent all of my free time for eating it. I usually eat 2 steaks in one time. Also, I usually eat five times per day. After I had eaten for last year, I got a big one pack on my body, so I decided to reduce my weight by exercise. However, it is very hard to losing my pot bellied because I have to work out very hard and it will take almost a year to do it. I really want to make this goal success in this year. If I can do it, may be I will become an abercrombie model.

Hi everyone! My name is Pongsakorn Pulput. You can call me Hut. I come from Bangkok which is the capital of Thailand. I think I'm a compicate person. It is very hard to understand me. Sometime even me don't understand myself. I like to listen music, drive a car, play soccer, and travel. This is my first time that I come to USA. It has only one reason for me to take a long flight to come here. Getting my degree is my reason that I come here. I already got my bachelor degree in Finance from Thailand, so I come here for getting my Master degree. The Master degree that I want to study is Computer Science. I can say Finance is my favorite subject. I will make a lot of money if I graduate MBA from CSUF. However, becoming a programmer is my dream when I was young. I know that it is going to take many years to graduate this program, but I still want to do it. May be you will find a game name "Angry Dog" That is very famous from Apps store in next four years.
